How to make Tassel & Connector Earrings

Happy 4th of July!! As promised, today we're publishing a second tassel tutorial as our gift to you for the 4th of July.  These earrings are remarkably easy to make and extremely beautiful.  Its amazing what can be done with al little imagination and the right materials :)
Yesterday, in our first tassel tutorial we hinted at the ridiculous amount of pictures we took this week, and after seeing today's post you'll see why.  We had tons of fun making this for you and you'll notice that we wrote the step by step instructions in both English and Spanish.  We do the same thing on all our video tutorials and that's because we're based out of Puerto Rico and Spanish is our first language :)  For those of you lucky enough to come to the Caribbean , make sure to give us a visit in Bayamon.
Finally, make sure to subscribe to our YouTube Channel and to our Newsletter, so you won't miss any of our free tutorials in the future.

#1 - Corte 6 yardas de hilo de nylon y póngalo encima del pedazo de cartón./ Cut around 6 yards of nylon cord and place it on top of the cardboard square.
#2- Comience a enrroyar el hilo alrededor del cartón, hasta que tenga el espesor que cesa para el pompón/ tassel. Wrap the nylon cord around the cardboard until you've reached the desired thickness for your tassel.
#3- Corte el hilo/  Cut the extra cord
#4- corte 1 yarda de hilo aparte y paselo por debajo de todos los hilos./ Measure and cut 1 yarda of nylon cord.  Place it under the cord on the cardboard box to make a knot.
#5- Haga un nudo alrededor de todos los hilos, dejando un extremo del hilo mucho mas corto que el otro. / Make a double knot and make sure to leave one end noticeably longer than the other (in order to use it for the top of the tassel).
#6- Haga otro nudo doble, para asegurar. / Make another double knot
#7- Remueva el hilo del cartón. / Remove the nylon cord from the cardboard
#8- Lleve el nudo hacia la parte de adentro del tassel./ Hide the knot by placing it on the inside of the tassel
#9- Pongale una gota de pega al nudo. / Add glue to the knot
#10- Tome el extremo mas largo del hilo, y enrollelo en la parte de arriba del tassel./ Grab the longer end of the additional nylon cord and wrap it around the top part of the tassel.
#11- Continue enrrollando el hilo, lo mas ajustado que se pueda, por lo menos 8 vueltas alrededor del tassel./  Continue wraping the cord tightly around the tassel.
#12- Ponga pega donde acaba el hilo./  Add glue to the knot
#13- Corte el hilo sobrante./  Cut the extra cord
#14- Corte los hilos por la parte de abajo, para abrir el tassel./  Cut the cord on the end of the tassel
#15- An~adele pega al "end cap"./ Add glue to the end cap
#16- Inserte la parte de arriba del tassel dentro del end cap. Espere unos segundos sin soltarlo, para que pegue bien. / Insert the tassel inside the end cap and hold it for a few seconds before letting go.
#17- Abra las argollas utlizando las pinzas de punta plana./ Open the jump rings with the flat nosed pliers
#18 y #19- Inserte el conector y el "fish hook" en la argolla / Insert the gemstone bezel and the fish hook on the same jump ring
#20 y 21: En otra argolla, inserte el "end cap" y el otro lado del conector. / Connect the end cap and the other end of the bezel  with another jump ring.
And Voila!!
