Project: Envelope lining for cushions
Materials:
- 1 yard of cotton fabric from our Fabric Touch (See Diagram)
- Seamstress's Wallet
- Sewing machine
Instructions:
1. Take the measurements of the cushion you wish to cover. (This measurement will be the width of the fabric you need to cut.)
2. Multiply the cushion measurement by 2, and add 4 inches. (This will be the length of fabric you need to cut.)
Example: The cushion we used for this tutorial measures 16.5" x 16.5". The calculation for the fabric measurement will be as follows: 16.5" x 2 + 4" = 37" (See diagram)
3. Cut the fabric using the measurements from steps #1 and #2.

3. Cut the fabric using the measurements from steps #1 and #2.
4. Fold the edge of one of the short sides of the fabric twice, and sew a straight line.
5. Repeat step #4 on the other short side of the fabric.
6. Fold the ends of the fabric towards the center until you reach the size of the cushion.
7. Secure the fabric with sewing clips or pins, and sew up and down so that the center remains open.
8. Turn the piece over and insert the cushion.
