Instructions:
Before you begin, review the instructions for your epoxy resin, as each one may be worked with differently. To work with Amazing Clear Cast Plus resin, mix Part A and Part B in equal parts.
♥ Tip: Let the mixture rest for a couple of minutes, and/or apply a little heat with a heat gun to reduce bubbles.
Screen Set #1 - Micas
1. Add color to the mixture with mica (powdered pigment). This will make the resin quite saturated with color with a slight satin sheen.
♥ Tip: Cover the entire mold, trying not to leave any gaps to avoid air bubbles. You can use a wooden stick for smaller gaps.
2. Wait for the pieces to fully cure before demolding. (Check the "Demold Time" or "Tack-free Time" specifications on your resin.)
♥ Tip: After the pieces have cured, if any need a layer of resin to level them or to protect the surface, you can use UV resin with its lamp to cure it.
*Optional: Add a decorative "pendant" to each piece with a ring.
3. Mount the pieces on the "Fish Hook" type screen hooks, opening the hook loop and ensuring that it is tightly closed.
Screen Set #2 - Alcohol Inks
1. Fill the mold only with resin.
2. Apply a few drops of white ink, which will help to highlight the following colors.
3. Apply several drops of alcohol inks in your preferred colors. The alcohol inks will color the resin with a more translucent finish.
4. For this set, we'll also create a base with Chunky Glitter. Mix some resin with your preferred glitter and pour the mixture into the smaller mold.
5. Once the glitter pieces are dry, use UV resin to attach the studs. Place an ear nut or plastic clasp on each earpiece.
6. Finally, use rings to join the pieces made with alcohol inks to the pieces made with glitter.
Lampshade Set #3 - Dried Flowers
1. Measure the size of the flowers with the template you are going to use and cut them if necessary.
2. Apply a layer of resin to the mold, place the flowers with tweezers for greater precision, and apply a second layer of resin.
4. Finally, use the "Kidney Ear Wire" type screen hooks, passing them through the screen opening from behind so that the clasp is behind the screen.
