DIY Connector

Hi everyone! Today we have a simple and beautiful project for you using rhinestone connectors. These connectors can be used as bracelet centers or, depending on the connector, for necklaces. This particular connector comes in three colors: silver, bronze, and gold.

As always, we need to start by choosing our materials. For this project, we used a mix of semi-precious stones and pearls. In the photo above, we labeled each stone.

*FW pearls = Fresh Water Pearls

MATERIALS:

1- 8mm Faceted Agate - 14pcs

2- Rhinestone connector

3- Stretch thread

4- Scissors

Next, using the top end of the design board (which is for making bracelets), arrange the beads according to your chosen pattern. Remember that the bracelet length will depend on your wrist size; however, as a general rule, the most common size is 7 inches.

STEPS 1 THROUGH 4:

First Step/ STEP 1:

Using the stretch cord, make three knots at either end of the connector. Always make sure to stretch and tighten the knots well, as this is what determines the durability of your bracelet.

Second Step/ STEP 2:

Next, to determine the amount of thread you'll need, measure the bracelet around your wrist. This ensures it's neither too big nor too small. When measuring, allow about 2 to 3 inches of extra thread to tie the knots at the end.

Third Step/ STEP 3:

Once they have determined the amount of yarn they need, they will cut the yarn with scissors.

Fourth Step/ STEP 4:

Now, begin threading the semi-precious stones onto the thread until you reach the desired size. In the photo, we are using semi-precious stones called faceted agate.

Once you've strung all your stones, tie three more knots at the other end of the rhinestone connector. We can't stress enough how important it is to pull these knots tight before cutting off the excess thread. If the knots aren't tight enough, your bracelet will unravel, so TIGHTEN THEM FIRMLY!! :)

Finally, they will cut off any excess thread at the ends.

And with this we finish, the more bracelets you make the better they will look, combine them with pearls or your favorite stones.

Until next time,
