DIY Gatsby Necklace

Today's project is fun and stylish. This is the second step-by-step tutorial we've published with an accompanying video. The video is very short and serves as a guide for when you make your own. However, we've also included photos and instructions later on so yours can turn out even better than ours.
We hope you have fun and let us know what you think, as we're eager to hear from you :)
Here's the video:
Materials:
1- Jumbo Aluminum Chain . 1 foot (Click on the name to buy it)
2- Bead Reamer . (Click on the name to buy it)
3-1/4 yards of PVC (available at our fabric store)
4- E6000 Glue . (Click on the name to buy it)
5-Needle Nosed Pliers . ( Click on the name to buy it)
6- Round Nose Pliers . ( Click on the name to buy it)
7-7 mm Jump Rings ( Click on the name to buy it)
8-10mm Fancy Jump Rings
8- Hook & Eye Clasp
9- Swarovski Flat Backs (available in our Beads shop)
First step:
To begin, you should draw the geometric design you want for your necklace. In our case, we made two designs identified with the numbers 1 and 2. The smaller one (#1) was used twice, once for each corner.
Second Step:
Next, take your geometric shape and cut the PVC to that size. Remember to cut out two pieces of the design identified as #1.
Third Step:
To connect these pieces, you need to create small holes in the corners. For this, you'll use the Bead Reamer shown in the photo above.
In the photo below, you can see where these holes will be opened.
Fourth Step:
After cutting out the three geometric pieces and making the holes, glue the Swarovski Flat Backs onto the PVC (plastic). Before proceeding to the next step, allow the glue to dry completely.
Fifth Step:
Using two pairs of pliers, take a 7mm jump ring and insert it into the holes you made in the PVC. This step is only to connect the three geometric pieces, and you must repeat it until all the pieces are connected. Make sure to close the jump rings securely so that no piece comes loose.
In the photo above you can see when we join two different pieces using the rings.
Sixth Step:
Now, you need to attach the geometric shapes to the chains. First, cut the chain into two 6-inch pieces. Then, open the 10mm jump ring and attach it to one end of the chain.
Seventh Step:
As you can see in the photo above, you're going to connect two 10mm jump rings to two of the 7mm jump rings you prepared earlier. These last two steps must be done with the second chain so that both sides of the necklace are connected.
Eighth Step:
All that's left is to add the clasp. To do this, you need to connect the clasp to both ends of the chains. Open a 10mm jump ring, thread the clasp onto it, and then thread the jump ring onto the chain. Repeat this step with the chain on the other side of the necklace.
In the photo above we show you how the zipper will look.
And with that , we wrap up another week of ideas and projects!
We want to know what you think: What would you like us to do in the coming weeks?
