Project: Screens with Liquid Sculpey

Materials:

Instructions:

    1. Place the Liquid Sculpey in a small cup and stir the material with a wooden stick before continuing .
    2. Add the powdered pigment (mica). Stir slowly with a wooden stick until everything is well mixed, without lumps.

Tip: Start with Add a small amount of pigment until you reach the desired color intensity. Stirring slowly will help prevent air bubbles from forming in the mixture.

    3. Pour the mixture into a silicone lampshade mold, using a wooden stick and a toothpick to smooth it down and avoid air bubbles. Be sure to clean up the edges to remove any excess.

Tip: If you want to know exactly how much water you need for the mold, first fill the mold with water and then pour the water into a measuring cup.

    4. If you're using the same mold as in this tutorial, repeat steps 1-3 for the second color. If you have any leftover mixture from the first color, you can add another layer of mica in a similar shade to make the most of the material.
    5. Bake the pieces according to the product instructions. (See downloadable resource).
    6. Once the pieces are cold, remove any excess with sandpaper.
    7. Use pliers to attach the rings to each piece, just like you would for lampshade hooks.
